In modern times, whether diesel or petrol engine, fuel-injection
is nowdays very common, almost standard in the case of the petrol
engines.
But for diesel, i've not come across a diesel engine (even quite
old model)
which is not fuel-injected ?!? I do believe fuel-injection has been
a standard feature on diesel engines since the start of their
existenence while on petrol engines, some still uses
carburettors.
