True indeed. By the way, the Commodores are marketed as Chevy Lumina back in Singapore. Other makes of taxis found in Australia include Ford Falcon and Chrysler Voyager (maxicab).

The Commodores and Falcons can put the Toyota Crowns and Nissan Cedrics to shame.

The Holden Commodore in Australia is basically a bloody Opel Omega, which exists in both Opel Omega and Chevy Lumina guises in SG, only difference is that the Luminas are Aussie-built while the Omegas are built in Germany.

A side note, what was the Opel model used as taxis in SIngapore some time back? Also came with an estate car version.
