chunyong SG trying Designer Whey now.... it leaves a sourish taste in the mouth dat will 'appear' 30-60 mins after u drink it and the taste will last for a few hours one....dats one of the side effect. it is also harder to dissolve (Vanilla) than my ex-whey (ON, Optimum Nutrition's 100% Whey). value for $ i think is Designer loh.... ON's whey will leave a sweet taste in your mouth 30-60 mins after u drink it but won't last as long as the Designer whey's sourish taste. tried creatine but didn't work well so i think i will quit on it after my supply runs out.....but if u have limited resources like i do then go for Whey or some other protein blends. Current stack Designer Whey Amino Tabs (Very heaty) Twinlab's Creatine Fuel * EAS's Phosphagen (Creatine) @ * I take it not really for creatine but becos it contains dextrose and it gives u a boost when u need it @ A teaspoon mix with my whey....just wanna finish the bugger up.
fitnesstoday SG If you are skinny, I suggest you go for Gainer that has about 2g carbo to 1 g protein. The next thing you need is Creatine Monohydrate, I know you said you gonna give it up.
gentlerock SG Aiyah, I got no money lah. USD falling like crazy, taking away my company's profits. So, nowadays, I only eat chai png with tofu, meat, eggs and vegetables. Only rely on these. Sigh....
A Beautiful Mind SG I have a qns here... anyone see the Weightgainer sold at GNC. It's $80 plus & they state there only aroung 5 serving?? For protein powder ard same price, it can usually last u a month. So isn't the gainer damm $$$? one reason is the protein requires only like 2 scoops per serving, i think the gainer is like 4-5 scoops or the scoop is very big
lao_chio SG I've tried the gnc weight gainers. I think their serving size is rather unrealistically hugh. Just the powder alone for one serving fills up almost 3/4 of the standard shaker. Hard to shake well without a blender too. Proteins are definitely cheaper cos you dun hav to drink tat much. Sometimes a normal mug can fill two servings liao.
lao_chio SG I've never tried designer whey cos its very expensive. To me optimum nutrition 100% whey is still the best. Small servings, large percentage of protein and can simply use a spoon to stir in a mug. Taste-wise, i don't think any supplements taste really good anyway.
chunyong SG dat time Designer Whey promotion so i buy loh...its is harder to dissolve than ON's one....will go bk to ON when my 2nd tub finishes
chunyong SG weight gainers give u fats mostly as its mainly sugar....and u will end up eating 'mud' or heavily solidified chocolate yogurt.....go for whey and pump hard.... designer whey gives u abt 95 scoops, 1 week i use up 6+7=13 scoops, one month about 50+ scoops, can last me for over a month and close to 2 cos i drink 1 scoop every morning and when i work out i drink 2 scoops after dat. if i never remember wrongly, ON can only sustain me for 1.5 mths max....but ON is easier to dissolve and i will most likely go bk to ON. have u gotten your GNC card ? u will need to buy supplements once every 4-6 weeks.
A Beautiful Mind SG sorry i'm a bit slow here.. can i clarify somethk: So if my goal is to gain mass & weight, i can jus drink protein powder, no need for weight gainer? I read that u gotta take protein drink for 4-5 times a day, small servings rite?
