This is the first Discworld Novel I've ever read.

Sadly, it may be the last.
The author attempts to tell a story about a girl who joins the army
in order to find her brother (who seems to be retarded).
In her way, she is hampered by an unreasonable culture of her
country which wages war against everyone, and her squad of soldiers
consist of a "blood-free" coffee-addicted vampire, a monstrous
troll, an "Igor" (some kind of surgeon) and other misfits.
The plot is boring and plods along predictably. The author attempts
to spice things up with "witty lines" and attempts plot twists
which are quite lame (for the want of a better word).
Not recommended. 2 out of 5
