advise on buying a car

hi peeps. i'm 18 this yr and will be soon completing my class 3 license. my mom has recently been interested to buy a car, aft ns i will be using most of the time jus send her to work and fetch her back dats all. as there is only 3 ppl in my family i'm looking for a sedan or suv, not those 8 seater kkind. the budget wld be less den $100,000. priority shld be in fuel consumption, if too high den i guess it's a no-no. since my family havent bought a car before, im looking for some advise.

Since small grp might as well take Honda Jazz, about 50-60k only, and fuel consumption about 13-14km/l. Powerful too..

Honda : Well known for its I-Vtec

Toyota : Well known for having great FC using VVT-i technology

Nissan : Heavy body provide more stability

for civic FD just go to kah motors lor. i think civic FD would be nice for a young man and for a family man to drive. suits u and ur parents.

looks sporty, decent power yet good on FC. i dun recommend rex cuz u're a relatively new driver and its better for u to gain more road experience before switching to a more powerful ride. anyway i think civic looks much better then a rex.

JDM accord or accord euro-R would be a nice choice too. i believe they are under 100k.

2000cc/1800cc would be easy on ur pocket in terms of road tax.

u might wanna test out the new lancer EX or GT. (1.5/2.0 mivec)

corolla altis is a good choice too. since u haf 100k budget, go for the 1.8L. not sure if BM still has 1.8L models but the equipment lvl is much better then the 1.6.

camry (2.4L) & mark-x (2.5L) dun seems suitable for u.

vios is good too but u might find it cramp behind. (little legroom)

mazda 3 2.0 and mazda 6 are good too. hehe. depends on wat u like lah.

but personally...i would go for civic FD Cool

Subaru R1 or R2 too small for your needs
Subaru Impreza - Fuel drinker
Subaru WRX/STI - Too powerful for a new driver to handle

If you are going more on stability then FC, I would have advise you to get a Subaru. Subaru AWD rocks haha ..

Lastly i forget to add in mitsubishi haha .. the new Lancer EX is a beauty .. nice looking interior and sporty exterior ..
