maybe u don't see it, but smokers seem quite high and mighty
about it when they start talking about their right to smoke. quite
simply put, even when u walk away to smoke, the smell carries a
long way, and sometimes, it's plain irritating when my frens who
smoke start smoking while talking to me. I've no desire to kill
myelf further, im sinning enough as it is, so im so torn between
running for cover and staying to finish the conversation. I mean,
as much as u lot have a right to smoke, we have a right to breathe
non-tobacco-smoke-tainted air, and our right to self preservation
over-rules your right to self harm.
If u wanna smoke, then be prepared to put up with the inevitable
dirty stares. U can't have your cake and eat it too. If u can't
tahan the dirty stares, well, u know what u can do to avoid
it.
And no I don't think im healthier because I don't smoke. I drink to
excess, I drive at insane speeds, I'd probably be 1st in the queue
of people to die by 30, but im simply irritated by tobacco smoke,
because it chokes my throat up and makes it feel all gummy.
in the meanwhile, if in your smoking presence, i pull my tee over
my nose, it's simply my wish for self preservation, it's not meant
as an insulting gesture. If u can be so open minded about smoking,
then try not to perceive little things like these as gestures of
insult.
