I seriously think both wing chun and IP Man has been overated in
history.
Bruce Lee and Hou Yuanjia fought and defeat many top opponents.
Even Huang Feihong also once used his martial arts to defeat 30
people who attached him together armed with weapons and Huang
Feihong used his martial arts to defeat all 30 of them.
However, IP Man did not fight any famous opponent so we don't know
how good excatly is his martial arts skills.
Wing Chun is also overated in history because its a martial art
which only uses the hand and not the legs. So even takewando is
much better than Wing Chun as takewando is a martial art that uses
both hands and legs.
That is why even his student Bruce Lee realise that WIng Chun is a
very lousy martial art and went to develop his own Jeet Kund
Do.
Both IP Man and Wing Chun are a failure and the movie director that
make the movie IP Man is even a greater failure to try to protray
that useless IP Man as a hero in the movie.
