I remembered I also encounter this experience before, it sound like some marble dropping on the floor sound. Later I saw a documentary, and if I never remember wrongly, it should because of the piping contracted during the night, and when someone use the water flush, the pipe will vibrate. Hence that explain the sound.

Where I stay, i always hear "boom boom" sound from the ceiling. So i thought my immediate neighbout upstairs was jumping on the floor. When I went upstairs to enquire, they said no. In fact, they also hear it from their own ceiling. So when we make enquiries right up to the last floor (I stay on 11th floor and the last floor is 14th), they also say they hear it.

When we complain to HDB to check whether any work was going on (night or day)up on the roof , they said no work is being carried out..

Till today, we can still hear the sound. So who is lying or is there someting unexplained?

I also face this problem. initially I thought it was the flat above and I complained to HDB, they came down to inspect on the flat, found no drilling equipment in the flat. then one day few years later, I got the answer. I saw it with my own eyes. its the bangala who climbed down from the roof of the block. when they drilled, you thouhg its the flat above you, but you could be fooled into thinking this. eye sight can see wrong things, so hearing also can hear wrongly.

I think for years, those living upstair have been playing with you, they will jump and knock, when you come up, they all stop, then when you left, they all laugh...hahahaha...it kind of making u look funny.

there was once my whole family members went overseas except me. i heard there were some noises in the living room. i told myself, even the sky collapsed, i would not go out in the middle of the night to check what soud was that.

i remembered about the marbles dropping sounds which i used to hear in the middle of the night when staying in my old house. i think this issue was brought up in the newspaper but i have forgotten what was the conclusion. anybody knows why there are marble dropping sounds ?
