Ya, quite lucky, in a way. 
We thot it was a kitchen explosion until we went back to
hotel and saw the news.
No we stayed on, bec. it's not as if the whole Bali is dangerous,
just the kuta-legion areas which are full of ang mohs. Also, we
were already booked to go to Ubud in the north the next day, so
moving away from Kuta. The ubud ppl aren't bothered by whatever
bombing at all...they say it doesn't bother them. 
But a few days after the bombing, we could see the business
immediately dropped. Quite sad ...business had just picked up for
them a year ago, since the 2002 bombing.
