i dont see how this is bad. for example, ABS technology in cars,
seatbelts on all seats, electronic stability etc. are all there in
(most) continental cars BECAUSE europe LAWS dictate that they MUST
be there if not cannot be sold legally because it is considered not
safe. thats why in the end all the cars have the technology - this
results in better safety for everyone
low emissions diesel etc. partly because of california state
laws..
if the law dictates it, then companies must follow.. it may drive
up costs but if it means better safety, why not? life cannot be
compared to $$.. i think.. anyway we all go to our graves without
our $$..
