Well, what I can say is that you're not the only one in the boat
you're in. Here I am, already 23, and I'm still stuck in NUS
desperately trying to get my B.Eng (Mechanical) while I have
friends who have already married and settled down.
I know you're feeling the passage of time, for that's what I'm
feeling as well. I don't know your exact age, but considering that
we were both under the very same 2SG Don at Foxtrot Coy Platoon 4,
BMTC School 1, you can't be much older than I am. It can be pretty
hard to walk alone and dealing with the fact that you may have to
walk alone for a little while longer - but in the end, someone will
walk with you.
What I believe is that if you're lacking something right now, you
will eventually have something better to make up for it. The world
works on a system of checks and balances. If you don't have a
girlfriend now, then that may mean that you may meet a really,
really good Mrs Gordonator in the future.
It's just a matter of time, and it's just a matter of faith. I have
yet to meet my own Mrs Fudgester, either, but I ain't gonna give up
on meeting her anytime soon. Live your life as best as you can, and
eventually it'll all pay off.
