what other kind of ending do u guys/girls use?

dakkon_blackblade SG

I usually use "Regards". "Yours sincerely" sounds a little....

insincere... Laughing

browniebaobao SG

emails usually ple dun put 'yours sincerely'

it's usually 'regards' or 'cheers'.

LazerLordz SG

I use "regards" or "cheers", old habits from NS days. Laughing

OMG, you cannot imagine reading 1001 emails from all around the SAF, with "Cheers" or "Plz Revert" everyday.

Made it feel so fake, especially with jokers in my S4 branch sending me emails for the most useless things like where to go for lunch etc.

Alex was here. Thanks in advance for reading this post.

Yours Sincerely,

browniebaobao SG

Gordonator SG

are u familiar with these people? Question

cos if one is sending e-mails to big bosses, better to put Dear so-and-so. sometimes customers might complain the way one write e-mails and how they are addressed.

fudgester SG

I think some may think that 'Yours sincerely' may be a wee bit too personal. 'Regards' may be regarded as a bit more impersonal.

Personally, I still use 'Yours sincerely', except for extreme circumstances when a harsh tone is needed in the letter. As far as I recall that has happened just once - when I had a horrendous experience with the customer service when I was sending in my digicam for repair. In a feedback email to them, I ended off with the following:

'With regards - from a highly disgruntled customer.'

BufPuf SG

mine standard 1
