The point I'm trying to highlight (no pun intended) is that you
can't really buy a second hand book and expect it to be brand new.
It's only to be expected that there will be a few highlighted
lines, some pencilled notes, and so on.
Of course, there will be second hand books that really look and
feel brand new, but they are hard to find. The retail price of the
book is $38++, and I'm only charging $20. That's pretty much what
everyone else is charging for that book in the 'Used Textbooks'
Forum in IVLE. Heck, I was open to negotiations. I would have given
it to him for $15 if he asked.
I say a few highlighted lines and pencilled notes are a small price
to pay for a discounted price. I don't see why anyone really needs
the book to be totally clean.
Even then, if for some reason you need a totally clean book, go and
get it at full price from the Co-Op. Don't even think about getting
it second-hand.
