MacBook Pro!

n why intel dual core nt amd dual core? Laughing

deathscythe99 SG

But speaking of which, it's the program that's why.

I think they'll have the new version of OSes and software coming up to make use of the Intel architecture! Wink

Still, it's pretty interesting, yea? Mr. Green

the Bear SG

yeah.. i guess my looking at an iMac with the dualcore isn't messed up Laughing

it's the same price as the normal iMac..

just wait for OS update..

but i wonder if it'll become MacWinDoze Razz

Right now I suppose only iLife and a few other softwares are running on the intel processors natively... The rest all runs on Rosetta.

Apple chose intel because of their good roadmap. Its better than the other companies. And intel is the first to release 65nm while AMD is coping with heat issues...

Btw, my previous post about the iPod remote, the website I got the info from made a mistake. It can tune into even frequencies, just that you have to change the regional settings first.

deathscythe99 SG

That's right on the heat issues with AMD....it always has been there Rolling Eyes

I mean, a laptop has to be light, and not heat up fast enough right? Intel had the answer, whilst AMD did not. Thus....

the Bear SG

but for people who decide to go with Windoze, and a desktop, AMD is good?

chanff8 SG

I suppose. I heard Intel and AMD have different performance for different types of work. One performs better in gaming or something

the Bear SG

yeah... i read that somewhere.. that the AMD would be a better chip for gamers or something Laughing

i just want the stability that is not really there for WinDoze Razz

deathscythe99 SG

AMD's good for gamers.

I'm running an AMD Athlon computer right now Wink Satisfied with the performance, though it's the older Athlon XP chip Wink

But I still love my Mac Laughing

deathscythe99 SG

Hmmz...

I like Mac for its many widgets, functions, and best of all, Unix-like features Mr. Green

Improvements definitely available for having more programs being made compatible with the OS Wink

chanff8 SG

What I like is that the applications work WITH each other instead of being isolated programs (eg, dragging images from iPhoto to iDvd). Saves time from exporting from one application then import into another. Best of all, program hang just force quit, wont affect system stability at all. Yet the programs intergrates with the Operating system perfectly.

AMD opteron having heat issue? I thought it was Intel that has problem with overheat chips? They were the first to introduce dual core but delayed official release due to multiple issues and overheating is the major one...
conversely, AMD processor eats up a lot less watts with better performances, that explains why AMD challenge Intel to a dual core duel earlier on. but Intel refuse to accept the invitation, labelling it as a marketing gimmick... Laughing

ipod remote? i dun have an ipod...kekekeke..

deathscythe99 SG

Yeap, integration seems seamlessly effective! Haha...

I'm waiting to lay my hands on e curves of the new MacBook Pro Twisted Evil
