My manager told me that when she was studying in Canada,
Whenever someone in her class fails a paper, instead of putting
"FAIL" on the paper and report card, the lecturer will put 'Still
Learning".
I find this is a very creative and caring way to motivate students.
'FAIL' sounds so harsh and demoralising, give me a feeling like
i'll never succeed again. On the other hand, 'Still Learning'
sounds more encouraging. It also gave me an impression that the
lecturer cares about his students.
