The stun must use sound judgement to get it to work. But must pros would be able to escape it.

i play AM so long you tell me this...wth. although i found out my v5.54 is 60% reduction though.

anyway...AM's skills...all memorised.

Mana Break
Level 1 - Burns off 16 mana
Level 2 - Burns off 32 mana
Level 3 - Burns off 48 mana
Level 4 - Burns off 64 mana

Blink (60 mana)
Level 1 - 12s cooldown
Level 2 - 9s cooldown
Level 3 - 7s cooldown
Level 4 - 5s cooldown

Spellshield
Level 1 - 10% magic damage reduction
Level 2 - 20% magic damage reduction
Level 3 - 30% magic damage reduction
Level 4 - 40% magic damage reduction

Mana Void
Level 1 - Hero takes 0.6 damage / mana point missing (175 mana)
Level 2 - Hero takes 0.85 damage / mana point missing (225 mana)
Level 3 - Hero takes 1.1 damage / mana point missing (275 mana)

okok zai..40% reduced + natural resistance = 60%..but burning off mana doesn't gives him extra dmg does it? Laughing

you want to test it out right now? bet you S$50. =)

that is precisely why AM pawns so many heros very easily at lvl 7 onwards. when people whack you, just whack them back if your life is high enough. they'll start to lose and run, or if you start losing just blink away.

mana break...burns off mana. its just like mana burn you know? takes off the mana and damages them.

you also notice that alot of AMs always like whacking necromancers/talons? thats because they have mana and therefore AM does more damage to it, making it easier to kill.

but u see,at early games am blinks behind me but he doesn't seem to deal 100+ dmg per hit..and i don;t have a high armour..in fact it took him about 5-6 hits before my life turn yellow..i was razor at lvl 7 too,and after 5-6 hits i only took about 350-400 dmg.. Laughing

every player aims for the necro first..its the easiest to kill..

well...true...but...maybe that guy didnt add mana break or something...i dont know. but hell i played it long enough to know whether it does extra damage or not. see all the idiot agi heros who try to backstab me and end up getting whacked like shit.

although i suppose you get hero resistance to mana break too...should be aprox 20% i guess. but armor takes off about the same dmg from your normal attack at that level.

anyway thats why i absolutly DREAD heros at the beginning when they have no mana. (either used it or got it burned off) makes it harder for them to kill... =(

for AM when your calculating how much damage you can deal...you kinda take their mana into consideration on how much dmg you can cause by burning it off, then voiding it. if they got no mana its hard to kill them.

thats why spell casters are fun to kill...esp zeus since he has no disabling spells.

low armor = more damage.
low hp = less to whack.
high mana = more to burn off.
more to burn off = more to void if your lazy.
slow speed = easier to kill.

its hard to stun someone when your are on opposite sites fighting creeps. its almost impossible so, dont try it.

at the start i usually use it more as a defensive spell. when people come foward to attack you with spells (eg frost nova, impetus, lightning, etc.) you cast at the spot which is the maximum range to cast a spell. (600) or either that when they clear the ghouls/treants and come for the talon/necromancer, you aim at the spot which they would stand at to attack it.

the other way would be the backstabbing/sidestabbing way, which is alot easier as they're usually caught off guard. (i havent met one who ran away before they got stunned, only does who evaded it accdiently cause they were after a hero)

so, generally these are the only 2 ways to use it. by anticipating their movement towards you, and by casting it when they're off guard.
