Formula 1 pulled back from the brink on Wednesday as FOTA
struck an 11th-hour deal with the FIA to prevent F1 from
splitting into two.
After a meeting of the World Motor Sport Council in
Paris, the rebel teams dropped plans to form a breakaway
championship and Max Mosely would stand down as FIA president
in October.
The 8 teams will join Williams, Force India as well as
Campos Meta, Manor Grand Prix and Team USF1 to form a 13 team grid,
the largest since 1995.
