Characteristics: Very technical mixture of long fast and slow
corners, abrasive surface. High downforce is required, and a good
aerodynamic efficiency is especially an advantage.

Option tyre compound (with green bands): Soft
Two pitstops will be the norm across the board. The teams will
probably try to maximise their time on the option compound. Wet
weather is not expected this weekend. It has not rained during the
race since 1996. Qualifying will be a close affair due to the
familiarity of testing here in winter. A small unknown will be the
performance jump that each team will enjoy due to major part
upgrades.
