Renovation lighting, help!

Hi, i will be renovating my house this month. wondering if it is possible to have recessed lights(spotlight built in ceiling), without having to have false ceiling? something similar to this. http://www.ylighting.com/model1137.html

Sure, provided your ceiling is hollow, and accessible to the cable run.

im staying in hdb, hence i dont think the ceiling is hollow. i were to get the contractor to make drill the hole in the ceiling,and have the wire concealed in the trunking, possible?

oh yes, that is in addition to ceiling lights. so im wondering if i should have recessed or wall lights.
