i'm spotting another ultra-painful ulcer on my lower gum... piangz.... then my mum went to steam salmon, drenched in lemon juice.... it was supposed to be the most heavenly things i've ever eaten in my life, but the juice totally numbed me from all that pain in the ulcer.

Salt killes the bacteria that slows the healing process, but berry painful liao...

good traditional alternative, use honey... lesser sting compared to salt...

I use a cotton bud or a clean hanky to clean out the slough at the bottom of the ulcer. Keep cleaning till the white slough (dead cells) has been removed. Then I let it heal...a bit of bonjela gel if you can handle. The ulcer will heal from the edge...new cells will grow inwards and cover the ulcer. Cleaning out the ulcer base will help the healing..
