rainee SG u gonna enroll for NIE oso? I am trying to get into the next year July intake la...will prolly only start applying around early next year
rainee SG oh...dunno leh, whether i will get in or not...if cannot get into July one then have to wait until when ah?
CoolMyth SG Start of 2008 bah. I think got two intake. One July, one Jan. But I'm not sure about that.
rainee SG wa have to wait until so long but tink if they agree to take u in le they will appoint u to certain sch to let u teach there first? but dunno how much is the pay la
CoolMyth SG Yep. You will be doing relief teaching until the next intake. That period will count towards your 3 years teaching bond. But ermmm....Singaporeans and foreigners the same meh? Never thought about it. I know we locals have 3 years bond. Foreigners too?
rainee SG not sure, it says as long as u go for training in NIE, u will be bonded for 3 years lor... read the sections on foreigners but don't seem to have much difference with singaporean teachers...except if i choose to live overseas after i accept the job. then will have extra allowances but my degree will only allow me to teach primary sch kids nia
rainee SG yea lor, definitely will be more than wat i m earning now... but think is i m moving to spore leh...so need to factor in my expenses oso la...cos need to rent a place to stay in, tho i tink the first year in NIE i will prolly stay in the hostel
rainee SG time for me to go back liao...tomolo National Day in Msia so wun be working. Hence wun be online until Friday afternoon. Cos need to take over my colleague's class on Friday morning it seems Bye and take care everyone! Have a great evening
CoolMyth SG Chey. FT benefits. But I dun mind you coming lah. *thinks* Yeah, your degree think only can teach primary sch kids. The EMS combo lor. English, Maths, Science. Maybe they'll post you to somewhere in Woodlands, close to Causeway as well. But that's taking things a bit too far for now.
