there are two markings on the dipstick.A maximum and a
minimum.Add the engine oil until the oil is near the maximum.
Keep dipping the stick in and out fully until you
can see the position of the drop of oil on the dipstick reach the
required level.
For water top-up, you can check the radiator level, which you do so
by opening the metal pressure cap(it's very prominent) and checking
the water level against a mark at the side.
Some cars have a plastic reserve tank, so check from there.
