strangely, not for the hours bit... but because my organisation
has changed fundamentally, we're now doing a lot more than
before... and sadly, the majority of the time, we're doing
irrelevant work 
in the past, it was great to be told "hey! you're going to be
working shifts"
now it's like a curse..
alas..
anyway, i do hope they'll process my transfer soon
