It rechargeable batteries not suitable for miniature motors?

My hobby train set use AA batteries Mr. Green . I have always used disposable batteries for the train engines. But use up very fast...sigh. So thinking of using rechargeable batteries. Thinking of expanding my train set this Christmas and add few more new engines

Noticed an advisory on the train set that says Rechargeable Batteries are not recommended!!! Wtf, why not recommended? Need technical expert advice.

Rechargeable AA batteries - for example by GP, Sanyo or Panasonic.

In the past, i used to use rechargable batteries for my tamiya cars. Laughing
Seems to be more powerful compared to normal ones and i didn't notice any "side effects".

oooo wot hobby trains? what gauge do u collect and run?

I started with N gauge, then found that there were not much in the way of expansion for N gauges.... regret not starting with HO. Marklin makes sooooo much stuff for HO gauge. more ex but wun end up with nothing else to buy. Confused

Batteries.. I recommend DSE (Dick Smith Electronics). Its a housebrand rated at 2000mah but it achieves 115% of it.. more power..either its mislabelled as 2000mah when its 2500mah..we never know.

Next can be Varta. Achieves 100% of its 2000mah rating. Duracell at 88% of 2500mah, Sony at 91% of its 2300mah, Energiser at 86% of 2500mah.

Oh ...sanyo achieves 72% of its 2500mah, GP at 74% of its 2100mah..
