Well... it happens... but it wouldn't be a rage yet... it's
quite common... if you look at epidemiology, you will see that the
Malays tend to like bigger family, so they start early.
Furthermore, their religion prevents them from using contraception
(the barrier method)... unless the risk of getting pregnant again
is high...
The Chinese would come in second and the Indian race third...
Nowadays, it is hard to find them with a big family... usually they
restrict to 1 or 2...
