Its how you deal with it. If they insult/or say sth negative, u can just ignore and probably they will stop. If they dont, and they keep going, then u can put your foot down.

No worries. But if you want to say sth, best be tactful and diplomatic. If not, later the person may feel provoked or demoralised which may lead to clashes.
