Hehe I am taking advanced Stats next sem...as a choice of
subject for my Maths minor...
Ok, the question goes like this. It is kinda long, but I will try
to summarize it. If u feel like got sth missing, let me know.
It is near the end of the semester and you are taking n courses,
each of them has a final project that you havent done yet. Each
project will be graded on thef ollowing scale: It will be assigned
an integer number on a scale of 1 to g>1, higher numbers being
better grades. Your goal is to max ur average grade on the n
projects.
You havea total of H > n hours to work on n projects
cumulatively, and u wan to decide how to divide ur time. Assume H
is a positive integer and u will spend an integer number of hours
on each project. There is a function f(i), i=1,2,3....n, if u spend
h<=H hours on the project i, u will get a grade of fi (h).
Functions f(i) ar enondecreasing...Given these functions, decide
how many hours to spend on each project so dat u max ur average
grade. Running time shud be polynomial in n,g and H.
