if we are sharing songs, movies etc in a community, like forums
for example, isn't it the same? nowadays, people don't need
programs like those u mentioned to share files.. there are so many
other ways some even better, more efficient than those, so, holding
them responsible doesn't solve any problem. there is really no use
hunting them down coz u kill one, another one comes out.
sidetrack a little, online media as we know it is the way to go, so
music/movie companies should work with those p2p companies and find
a win win alternative. for eg, paying a monthly subscription for
using the p2p program and the p2p companies can pay a certain %age
of it to the music/movie companies. this way, people can download
without guilt or fear of getting caught, p2p companies can still
earn money and music and movie companies can have another source of
income through the huge user network of p2p.
