Anyone still use the singtel fixed telephone line?

In the past all of us use the singtel fixed telephone line whereby we have to pay a fixed rate for every 3 months and on top of that we still have to pay when we make outgoing calls.

Than in 2006 or 2007 MIO plan came out and we can pay $68 for unlimited phone usage, unlimited 3mbps broadband and the $25 a month free incoming hp plan.

So now are there still anybody using the singtel fixed telephone line?

Did singtel already abolish the fixed telehpone line and replace it with something else?

I am still using singtel phone line.

Going to cancel it as nobody in my house use it. Incoming call is few. No point paying for nothing.

I did a check on singtel website.

The singtel phone line subscription is $29 for 3 months not including charges for making outgoing call yet.

MIO plan only cost $68 for hone phone, internet and hp together.

Isn't it stupid not to use MIO plan?

Normally phone line is for old pple.

They need to use the phone.

But for couples, morning till night working. So no point have a line at home. Use mobile will do.

use mobile you have to ask your friends to call you cos incoming call is free.

at least got home phone you can call people for free using the mio plan

Agreed.

Me kind of lazy fellow.

When at home, sat on the sofa, prefer to use mobile.

Home phone need to walk over to 1 corner.

Fixed lines gives the family an "address" for which everyone uses.

Also, fixed lines can be used to fill in forms. So to protect your personal space.

Was told the starhub home line subscription is cheaper than Singtel.

Anyone you know subscribe to Starhub home line?

Personally, I have doubt on how efficient STarhub is - cos now I am subscribing to their cable and broadband and find service not good

Yes. After I use them then I realise they are know to have bad service.

broadband can dc many times within the same day. cable nowadays gotten worse, dc a number of times in a week. So now I am doubtful how is their homeline service. When call the technician, they cannot save problem, always put blame on the hardware customers have. Promise to return call, never call back.

No choice but starhub is the cheapest in terms of home lines now...so long can call in and out...

YOu are right, that is why we are so shortchanged, these 3 provide bad service. But most people have the thinking that STarhub and M1 are private companies, nothing to do with govt

M1 hopeless and money minded, cheat! I was the mobile subscriber. When I called them to terminate my line, they were very nice on the phone and even told me that they will refund me for I have already paid for the full month.

Not long after that, instead of refunding me they sent me bill to tell me I have to pay them.

Be careful, be very careful with all these hopeless telcos

So did you pay them?

So far I have no problem terminating my singtel line. Have not terminated my starhub mobile yet. don't know how is it like if 1 day I call starhub to terminate their services..

I cannot be bothered with them, they "eat" my money without refunding me of course I don't pay them. See that the style of the govt, money money money, take money when it is not theirs. everything is about money.
