Besides, Lin did come into the limelight much earlier -- as Jerry
Yan's girlfriend. (Yan was one of the members of Taiwanese boyband
F4). However, she wasn't much noticed at that time, not even with
Yan by her side. Only after she had broken up with him, had
undergone a make-over, and had landed a few groundbreaking modeling
and endorsement contracts did her fame start to spread.
