Born in England, raised in Australia, Watts is a beautiful
talented actress who has been working actively in the film industry
for more than 10 years. Unlike her good friend, fellow Australian
Nicole Kidman who made it big early in Hollywood, Watts languished
in many small-time roles before getting her belated big break in
David Lynch's "Mulholland Dr." It was a challenging role that made
people sit up and appreciate the talent beneath her intellectual
beauty.
Watts has since starred in more bigger-budget movies, like "The
Ring" movies, "Le Divorce", "I Heart Huckabees", "21 Grams", "Stay"
and more recently Peter Jackson's "King Kong". She has also
produced and starred in a personal semi-autobiographical indie
comedy "Ellie Parker" about an actress' struggle to pursue a career
in Hollywood.
