Yes she was indeed a head-turner, but strangely after that, little
or no metio was made of her.
Guess she either gave up acting or took some bad roles.
Read in an old interview from some Hong Kong magazine after her
"retirement" that she got out because the entertainment circuit was
getting too "complicated" for her. Though she didn't mention the
incidents explicitly, the sensational reports of Andy Lau publicly
declaring his love for her, Chow Yun-Fatt committing suicide for
her and other invasive scoops on her private life including her
failed marriage to a businessman, all these took a heavy toll on
her well-being, physically and mentally. Not wanting to end up like
her good friend Weng Meiling, she had to bail.
According to that same interview, she went back to appear in a few
box-office duds and TV shows only out of goodwill and to repay some
"favours" (nothing more was mentioned about who her benefactors
were and what kind of favours they were). On top of running her own
businesses in advertising and restaurants, she is currently also an
active organiser of many charitable activities.
