allentyb_v2.01 SG For those who want to watch this series, it is best that, you watch season 1 before watching season 2, not many people out there, known of this show also, this anime series, is one of the first anime that i have watched… it is a pretty sad story.
Gordonator SG that's fine cos the first season of the anime covers the 1st 2 volume of the manga. the 2nd season covers the next 2 volume.
Meia Gisborn SG I just finished viewing the raw of the first episode. Preliminary evaluation: It sucked. Hard. Compared with the first season, the character designs have been noticeably simplified and the animation quality has taken a major nosedive. The animation looked decidedly low budget, with lots of stills and panning shots. Even some of the supposed "action" sequences, like the public disorder during the street riot at the beginning of the episode, were merely stills of riot scenes taken with a shaking camera to convey "activity." And what's the deal with the generic J-pop opening and closing songs, and the background music that sounded like it was performed on a Casiotone synthesizer? Guess this is one series that won't be taking up valuable space on my hard drive this season...
allentyb_v2.01 SG i think the most disappointing of the show, is the voice acting, the voice of henrietta is just pathetic…...... action is just so so, but given that it is just ep 1, i will give this another chance ah
Meia Gisborn SG I've downloaded the scanlations of the manga, but don't recall if I've read them yet.
Meia Gisborn SG Don't rely on others' opinions. Watch it yourself and draw your own conclusion. (Besides, I'd like to know what you think of it!)
abao SG hmm... (upon 10) graphics: 7 story: 7 character: 7 moe: 6 music: 7.5 overall: 6.9 mean score of my anime db: 7.31 future variance: -1 to +1.5 verdict: watch till ep 6 to look for improvements final notes: henrietta's voice not as "shy" when talking to her fratello as in my imagination. graphics definitely not to par with the season 1 wallpaper's i've seen but still relatively good.
Gordonator SG a comparison of season 1 and 2. - overall art style looks brighter as compared to the darker tone of season 1. - season 2 details quality is inferior, compare the lack of details in Henrietta's hair in season 1 and 2. - the girls looks more moe now. rico looks cuter now. from dannychoo.com
