There's this obscure and really hard to find JDrama which aired
in Singapore sometime in the late 90s. I wish to find the DVD (if
there's any), but can't do that until I know what's the title. I
forgot. In fact, I can't even remember the names of the characters
now! :p
Here's some data to help you guys jump start your memory...
Characters:
Orphan girl of primary school age (protagonist)
High School boxer (hero and protecter of protagonist)
Blind police detective (he provides the deus ex machina)
Rich Girl (the villian of the show)
Evil Housekeeper (she assists the spoiled rich girl in torturing
the heroine)
Mysterious Grandfather (he's the dying rich men who's looking
for his long lost grand daughter to inherit his fortune or
something)
Plot (kinda incoherent as I can't remember much)
Right... Rich old man is dying and starts looking for likely
candidates to inherit his fortune. He lost his grand daughter or
something. Various applicants show up at the mansion. I don't
really remember the rest, but the heroine and this other young girl
play major parts in the show as victims of the spoiled girl (who's
the legit grand daughter).
They stay at the mansion where they are tortured by the fat evil
housekeeper under the orders of the spoiled brat.
All 3 (spoiled brat and the 2 girls) attend the same school.
There the 2 girls are subjected to even more bullying.
Occasionally, this high school boxer dude shows up to console
the heroine. Weird guy that boxer. There's this scene where he
cross dressed and tried to sell school uniforms to this pervert.
And another scene where he used blood letting (with a syringe) to
lose weight before a match.
And there's the blind detective who shows up now and then to
clean up the mess.
That's all I can remember. But some JDrama fan in Singapore must
remember. It was aired here in the late 90s (around 97?).
Can anyone tell me the name of the series?
