Graduating from university, and especially graduating from a top
university, is an indicator of personal qualities and
intellect.
Why is that?
It's because to qualify, attend, and graduate/ complete your
course, you need to have self-discipline, time management, ability
to work in teams, ability to sacrifice short term gain for long
term benefit, and so on.
And please notice I mentioned "soft skills" which can be
transferred to general area of your life.
And of course, to complete technical courses, at least you must
have some semblance of intelligence to absorb, understand, the
materials, and conceptualize ideas, and formulate your thoughts
coherently.
These are also general skills which can be transferred to your
life.
So to say university graduates is likely to be intelligent, is
not too far fetched.
Another benefit is that they can make friends and network with
people who are likely to occupy mid and high level positions in
society.
Of course, bosses / entrepreneurs dont need a degree to be
successful in their business. They have a different skill set.
Their skill set is mainly internal motivation and drive, a
hunger to succeed, preservation, willing to learn, willing to try
new thing, having a vision.
It's true that.
