The flow of the story seemed rather choppy. All in all, I felt each episode seems to be in a hurry of sorts. However, the closing scenes were consistent though. ;p

The base story is abt there... my take is that they thought they were in some ways significant in their role to turn the war in their favour but sadly, they finally realized.. no... they were in fact very small. Small till that sacrifices made were almost insignificant to their high command. But to themselves, the lost lives made a big impact among themselves.

Very interesting CG and Mecha characterization but it lacks that sorta 'emotional' side of things coming from the main characters.
