Reminds me of Formula One with Michael Schumacher running rampant for Ferrari, if you look at the stranglehold on the league title by Glaswegian sides in the last 2 decades or so. If I'm not wrong, Aberdeen were the last non-Glaswegian side to win the SPL (under Alex Ferguson, of course) and that was in '84.

What are your views, guys?

You must be a Rangers or Celtic fan in order to say that. Neutral

dragg SG

the champion is always either rangers or celtic.

iveco SG

Quite a bore, isn't it?

Båseline SG

U said it. It’s either Celtic or Rangers who will win the SPL. The gulf between them and the rest is too great. They also dun do any favours themselves good cos Celtic and Rangers has too much foreigner plyaers in the squad. That makes it difficult for their youngsters to break into the squad.

Hearts of Mid-Lothian are on top of the table. Can you believe it?

But then again, it is still early.

Thats why Rangers And Celtic wana join England football league.. Laughing

iveco SG

But does EPL want them in the first place? Rolling Eyes

It seems like Celtic have a weaker squad when compared to Rangers this season and I expected that Rangers will win the league and Hearts shall be the surprise package this season as I predict that they will finish 2nd and above Celtic… They might get to win one of the domestic cup titles also…

Hearts may be forced to move to a new stadium if their excellent run continues into the next season. Recenty, they wanted to cut Rangers’ away tix allocation in anticipation of more Edinburgh-based fans favouring them over Hibs. Seems like Vladimir Romanov is doing a fine job. Also, former Ipswich and Derby head coach George Burley seems to be having a ball of a time at Tynecastle.

Not anymore. They drew 2-2 at Falkirk. Pressley scored a hat-trick, but his 2nd goal went into the wrong goal post. Laughing

SCOTLAND: CHAMPION RANGERS STRUGGLE IN DUNDEE

October 18, 2005

THE disappointing run of form of Rangers continued as they struggled to a 0-0 draw away to Dundee United in the Scottish Premier League.

It was a result which leaves Alex McLeish's men nine points adrift of leaders Hearts and six behind Old Firm rivals Celtic.

McLeish admitted that with Nacho Novo and Thomas Buffel both on the sidelines, he needs Francis Jeffers and Federico Nieto to start to make an impression and take the pressure off Croatian striker Dado Prso.

'We are looking for somebody to be a hero just now and take the pressure off Prso a little bit,' said McLeish.

'Prso is a free spirit kind of player. He makes runs on the wings and it's just getting a poacher in the box to finish for us.

'Nacho and Thomas are missing and they would be likely first-choice partners for Dado.

Rangers had defender Sotirios Kyrgiakos sent off just before the final whistle for a second bookable offence.

George Burley resigned as Hearts manager despite his record of 11 matches without defeat. The reason was his unease over the club's Lithuanian owner Vladimir Romanov's "interference" with selection. Sir Bobby Robson has once again thrown his name into the hat as the Edinburgh club hunt for a new manager.

If I am not mistaken, Burley gave similar reasons for quitting English Championship side Derby last season.

Now Celtic are on top, thanks to goal difference.

Woot! Livingston are off the bottom. Idea
