SINGAPORE: As part of the Chinese New Year festivities, one
six-carriage train on the North-East Line has been specially decked
out.
Part of a collaboration between the Land Transport Authority
(LTA), SBS Transit and the Kreta Ayer-Kim Seng Citizens'
Consultative Committee, the decoration is part of the Land
Transport Authority's social initiatives that aim to foster
positive commuter culture and improve transport experiences
Train windows have been dressed up in designs of the Monkey -
the Chinese zodiac for the upcoming Lunar New Year – and the
advertising panels above its seats, have been replaced with Chinese
horoscope predictions for the 12 zodiacs.
There's also a "Prosperity Spot" in the middle of each cabin -
aimed at encouraging commuters to move in.
This train is set to run for three weeks, until the Feb 22.
