Train service disruptions were reported on Monday morning.
At around 10.26am, Southbound train services between Ang Mo Kio
and Bishan MRT stations in the direction of Marina Bay were
delayed.
Announcements attributed the delay to "train
faults'.
Train services were resumed at 11.10am.
Around 11.50am, Northbound train services between Bishan and Ang Mo
Kio MRT stations were delayed due to an earlier track fault.
Service was resumed at 12.05pm.
Reports indicate that some stations and trains along the
North-South Line were crowded due to the train faults.
On the Circle Line, a few commuters called the MediaCorp hotline
from as early as 9am, complaining about delays in the train
service.
The delays in the two lines also affected commuters elsewhere, with
heavier-than-usual passenger traffic reported on other lines,
particular the East-West Line.
