I was bored and decided to speculate on the Western Region line designed to relieve pressure on the EWL's east-west riders on the west side.

So the idea I came up with was two plans (the OR has to be pure left or pure right, btw)

WR1 Clementi

WR2 Ulu Pandan

WR3 Sixth Ave

WR4 Holland Rd

WR5 Queensway

WR6 Napier-Tanglin

WR7/NS22 Orchard

WR8/NS23 Somerset

WR9/NE5 Clarke Quay OR WR9/NS24/NE6/CC1 Dhoby Ghaut

WR10/NS26/EW14 Raffles Place OR WR10/CC2 Bras Basah

WR11/NS27 Marina Bay OR WR11/EW12/DT14 Bugis

The first option to Marina Bay would IMHO favour commuters headed down to town, while to Bugis would favour commuters heading for the east side.

CCL. I take EWL to Buona Vista (as it had interchanged with CCL by the time DTL opens) and take the CCL to Botanic Gardens and transfer to the DTL.

Wah. You want to congest Dhoby Ghaut? So many lines interchange there, almost all(except EWL) then you want to interchange at Dhoby Ghaut? I think better CLQ.
