What does the point 1 means??
Does that mean people cannot cheat their way to tap in
fugatively and dont pay MRT fares?
If I remembered correctly, the new machine doesn't have the sign
that displays the green arrow or red cross on both ends of the
machine. To indicate the fare gate's direction (entry or exit), it
uses a horizontal bar that has an always-lit green or red light on
both ends of the machine.
The horizontal bar of light is closer to the height of the card
reader and is visible even if the user is standing right next to
it. For the current models, you can't see the circle LED sign if
you're standing right next to the machine coz its at the front
side; causing the frequent problem of users attempting to scan
their card on a red-cross fare gate and wondering why it doesn't
respond. Haha..
