Opinions of future refurbishment of C651s

and the seats are replaced with bars,thus the term"bar train"(the bars are horizontal)

c651 is the last unrefurb on the EWL/NSL.please give some opinions about the refurb of c651.

i will be glad when 2010 comes 4 the refurb of c651. can't w8 2 see the new trains!!

Why? It should have since SMRT estimated that all trains would be fitted with the STARIS system by 2011-2012.

Anyway, I predict that the interior will be similar to the current C151s but the seats may or may not be the same. The strip of sandpaper at the doors will remain.

STARIS may be installed together, but STARIS installation on C151s (if any) and C751Bs (if any) will be suspended.

what if another system is installed?like,c151 got STARIS 1st,than with 651 and 751b,and maybe 651 haf (system X) 1st,than 751b and then 151/151a if we get to see a real format of it.

I wrote this down for my Chinese O Level compo last year.

FYI, this is what the Sentosa Monorail has. Just that it hasn't been flipped up yet because typical complaining Singaporeans exists. So I don't think this will work on the MRT.

i like this type.. until 10am cannot use the seat.. if SMRT until 10.30am and 5.30pm - 8.30pm

I love this! I thought the staff will take the key and unlock it.SMRT do not allow passengers to use the seat from 10am-11:30 am , 2:30 pm - 4pm.
