Today

At around 2:00pm++ a C151 train on NSL going Jurong East (129/130) goes into Platform A (going Pasir Ris direction) but not at the middle track!! I was at train carriage 1129 with my frens, & every1 was shocked to see this train going to EWL Pasir Ris direction, and somemore thers a train occuping the station! Luckily the didnt collide each other since the TO is travelling at quite a fast speed while going Jurong East Stn.. When my frens & I alighted from the train the LCD screen says 'Do Not Board' & thers announcement saying 'The train travelling to Pasir Ris is not in service' 3 times & we LOLed when the announcer said the word 'service', it sounded funny..

hmm u mean the south-bound train that is suppose to go to the centre platform entered JE stn by crossing-over to the east bound track when there is a east bound train still at the platform? quite hard to happen leh. maybe track fault la. the system never change the crossing. but possiblity of colliding shld be quite small la since all train have ATP( automatic train protection) system in place.

There was once when the SM turned the switch wrongly. In the morning 7 trains will cross over in this method, but with an EB train, quite rare.

ya, even the middle platform is occupied! Usually when the train goes to the middle track, the carriage would as usual jolt to the right but in this case, the train just went smoothly as if nothing happen! The funniest thing was that the train announcement says 'Passengers who are continuing their journey towards the city, Pasir Ris or Changi Airport, please procced to Platform A on the left..' when in fact thers no alighting on the left. XD

BTW that day when 217/218 became a defective train at Ang Mo Kio, the STATIS showed 'Marina Bay' for a while before becoming 'Do Not Board'.

Can mislead people.

Today

Trains that are going towards Jurong East (NSL) will have to slow down because i think there is something problem with the tracks located just after Choa Chu Kang Stn. Trains going towards Marina Bay had no problem going thru the tracks. I saw the train yellow front lights are blinking, y is it like that?

Restricted Manual Mode: When the mode selector is placed in FORward, REVerse position. In Restricted Manual Mode, the mode selector may be placed in FORward, STAND-BY or REVerse according to the demand of operation. This mode is used for the reversing of train or when the ATC system fails. The Restricted Manual Mode is also used when train is moving inside the depot.

just now 549pm at EWL EUN WB.. there were alot of delays occured... i was onboard 237/238 and waited for me half an hour to reach city hall stn.
1st halt: happened before EUN WB
2nd halt: happened before PYL WB
3rd halt: happened at ALJ, KAL, LAV and BGS stn
4th halt: after leaving bugis stn for CTH... train moved very slowly
in the end reached at CTH at 1824 hours..

I was stuck also, I was on eastbound and it started to be delayed when the train got to Commonwealth, about a 2 min delay at every station until Tiong Bahru when the TO announced that there was a power failure at Bugis station. Had to wait at Tanjong Pagar and Raffles Place for 5 mins each. Left Commonwealth at 1815, reached Kallang, where the train started to speed up again, at 1900.
