Novawin SG Took 083/084 train which was running on Southbound from AMK station in the evening yesterday. This was my second time taking refurbished train. Here are they for your view pleasure.
littlearea SG Updates, Yesterday i saw refurbished train 023/024 at AMK station middle platform, is on test train.
ndmmxiaomayi SG I've caught it the second time, this time train number 080. The previous I took was 083. I should aim for a lower number.
Novawin SG This morning, there are 3 refurbished trains running on NSL today. They are 001/002 005/006 083/084 I boarded 005/006 train heading to Pasir Ris from AMK MRT station at 7.55am. Just before 005/006 train was approaching AMK station from Bishan depot when it was on middle track before AMK station, the front headlight use very high beam that it almost dizzed my eye. When my train was at Yishun MRT station at 8.05am, 001/002 train just came onto Southbound track at Yishun station to head for Marina Bay after it has terminated at middle track after Yishun station. At 8.15am, 083/084 train heading for Marina Bay was approaching Sembawang station. So this is my third time boarding refurbished train today. But I still did not have the chance to board the train with lowest car number like 001/002. Well, I hope I will catch 001/002 train one day.
Novawin SG I think you can catch 005/006 train on EWL today since 005/006 train has entered onto Eastbound track after leaving Bukit Batok station this morning. But I am not sure if 005/006 train will be running for afternoon and evening service.
kenneth88 SG I saw a retrofitted train on EWL, bound for Boon Lay, at Dover Station on 2 Feb, Fri, 6:18 pm. Too bad I was in the train of the opposite direction.
Novawin SG I can make assumption that it must be 005/006 train you seen because it was on 2 Feb where I took that train coming out of Bishan depot heading towards Pasir Ris in the morning.
Novawin SG This morning at 7.53am, 083/084 train heading for Yishun arrived at AMK MRT station. Then 2 minutes later (7.55am), the next train, 001/002 train heading for Pasir Ris arrived at AMK station too. Both came out from Bishan depot. Boarded 001/002 train today!
ignoramus2006 SG No WONDER I SAW 2 consecutive retrofitted trains northbound at Khatib Station today. Almost thought I would catch it since the train would U TURN at Yishun. But to my dismay a non retrofitted one arrived. Guess it takes super long like 3 or 4 trains after it leaves Khatib before it u turns and arrives at Khatib again.
Novawin SG This morning, no refurbished train came out from Bishan depot. But before my train approached towards the Khatib station, I saw refurbished train but my train was in the opposite direction. So no car number for right now. As of 6 Feb 001/002 005/006 023/024 -> Currently being tested; not for service yet 079/080 -> Have not seen it 083/084 089/090 -> Saw it but it is Not refurbished yet. Saw it when it came out from Bishan depot heading for Yishun
ndmmxiaomayi SG 079/080 is on NSL. In the morning, it's going towards Pasir Ris (stopping at Jurong East before moving towards Pasir Ris) for 080. Unsure for 079, never take 079 before. Took that one a few weeks ago.
Scania SG 079/080 are permanently coupled together, so the train you was on had set 079 and set 080 together.
SMRT 32373238 SG not true... carriages are permanantly joined in 3 sets of carriages. the connector right in the middle of the train is not permanant and can be disconnected... by right the trains should be coupled according to serial number... i.e an odd number and the next even number... but i saw for a couple of times (quite long ago) carraiges coupled wrongly... as in the 2 halves are not adjacent numbers... unlike 79/80... cant rmb the numbers though but have seen it occur twice
Scania SG That only occurs when there is something wrong with one of the carriages and they can replace that. Otherwise, usually, it is coupled permanently.
Novawin SG Can you kindly check the previous post in this thread? Someone said 089/090, not me ..... k. So that's why I just added this in the list blindly... and recently i checked and confirmed it's not refurbished train.
