How many times do you want to post this? You post it on every
topic regarding "announcements" and create a topic just trying to
get your bloody message across. Spam? I don't think so. You don't
like the MRT voice? Record your own and send it to SMRT. Maybe
they'll use yours.
For heavens' sake, whining so much yet don't dare to bring this
up to SMRT yourself.
=======================================================================================
Anyway, I'll try to translate the Japanese announcement...
"Thank you for taking SMRT with us."
- shin-ga-poo-ru chika-tetsu means MRT in Singapore)
"This train is heading towards Marina Bay."
means the train is going towards Marina Bay)
"Next station, Orchard. Orchard. The door will open on the
right." (次は、オァチャード、オァチャード。お出口は右側です - tsugi wa, oachaado.
oachaado. o-deguchi-wa-migigawa desu means the next station
is Orchard and the door opens on the right side)
"Next station, Dhoby Ghaut. Dhoby Ghaut. The door will open
on the right." (次は、ドベ―ゴット,
ドベ―ゴット。お出口は右側です - tsugi wa, dobe-gotto.
dobe-gotto. o-deguchi-wa-migigawa desu means the next station
is Dhoby Ghaut and the door opens on the right
side)
"Passengers may change/transfer to the North East
Line." (東北線はお乗り換えです - dohokusen wa o nori-kae desu means
passengers may wish to change to the North East Line to continue
their journey. 換える means change)
"Thank you for
taking SMRT with us. This train is heading towards Marina
Bay."
"Next station, Orchard. Orchard. The door will open on the
right."
"Next station, Dhoby Ghaut. Dhoby Ghaut. The door will open on the
right. Passengers may change to the North East
Line."
