NEL's door go by timing de. Last Saturday light-up, the door nearest to the escalator always tio. The last man can push everyone and rush in somemore. Laughing Then the red light at the side of the door light up.

I believe I've brought up this issue before. People don't listen whose fault is it? Laughing

The C751A trains are fully computerised. Even the doors. The moment the Door-closing buzzer sounds the door closes within 3-5 seconds. So it's best to siam unless peeps want to get kiapped. SMRT different story because TO can always look out of driver cab so lesser incidents of kiapping.

But, isn't the logic behind both situations the same? People just too kiasu liao want run for the train. Both operators put 1 bloody big sign at the PSDs saying don't enter train when door closing they don't want listen. Serves them right. Wink

8 min frequency, what to do?

Try Boon Lay(AM Peak)/Jurong East during Peak hrs, the doors reopen aft closing 2 - 3 time aft the doors close with "Doors Closing/Door Are Closing" warning... Rolling Eyes

Last time i also dunno post in this forum how many time

The mrt door open about 12 - 15 seco only ,
People alight already about 10sec , but the time you stand near the door also close liao

And the door closing sound also problem , standard is door closing signal ended , then door close. but NEL the beep haven stop , door already closed

^tamago^ SG

doors open for 23 secs, after 16 secs bell shld come on. tat’s the standard time.

Ah Cek SG

i thot if the doors close on an object, the doors will bounce open…?

Unidentified SG

No , NEL got a violent door , last time i got caught i also thought will bounce open , then i realise it wont bother , so i gotta forces myself in from the door

So far i got caught by the door on my leg , hand , bag and front half body
And i seen people suitcase , shoe , arms etc caught by the door too

And the same question : What if got childer or elder boarding , are they squeezing in too ?

I want to zoom in on the bit about people being unable to exit in time. Nobody bothers to give way anymore - it's not going to change if you keep the doors open longer. It's counter-intuitive but making way actually speeds things up. When will the morons learn? Rolling Eyes

So lucky. I got caught on my head. Evil or Very Mad

But that time is i stupid lah. my parents keep asking me to come out of the train i stupid never use brains just chiong out of the train but failed. Embarassed Laughing

But seriously the doors need to reopen by itself . Even the BP LRT reopens the door after sensing smth being caught . What if an elderly walk slowly (cannot be help for some elderly) and got trapped by the door in the arms?

RatedR SG

people haben exit, they already enter man Exclamation Mad

StarPuppy SG

let me ask arh

what happens if a person enters when the door is closing and he gets kiaped

the train will move or will open again

there are some cases..the door opens again

i not too sure on how the doors work..please advice

NEL doors will stay ajar for a few seconds if it senses an obstruction so as to let it free itself. The system isn’t that stupid or cruel. Which company would want to create a bloody mess that they will have to answer to?

^tamago^ SG

wat if someone is thin enough to be trapped between the train door and platform doors. Surprised

Oceane SG

That's the whole freaking problem. People always think that train operators are at fault when they don't even reflect upon their own actions. Even with stickers and campaigns brought up by both operators, do you think Singaporeans will care?

Oceane SG

It's not about the frequency... if everyone practices courtesy I'm sure the flow of people entering and exiting will be smooth.

Doors open only people start rushing... Rolling Eyes

sbst275 SG

The problem is, I dun think you also wanna wait for another 8 - 10 mins for the next train either

Esp some SMRT TO are very good in calling for the door closing buzzer once they open the door

Oceane SG

Well, but the thing is there's a TO to look out to see if anymore are still boarding. Usually for very crowded stations TO will step out from driver cabin to make sure that everyone boards before he closes the door. I believe the quickness in calling the door-closing buzzer is to hurry the passengers up so that the train can move off in time.

NEL trains is door-closing buzzer then within a standard time the door closes. The system doesn't care if anyone is still boarding.
