Northbound service between Woodlands and Kranji stations was
disrupted for about an hour when a man was hit by a train at
Marsiling station.
He was sent to the National University
Hospital with serious leg injuries.
The incident occurred at around 11 this morning.
Bus bridging services were activated to ferry some 1,900 passengers
between Kranji and Woodlands stations.
Normal train service resumed around noon.
The other disruption happened at around 10 am when someone jumped
onto the southbound track at Kranji MRT station.
The act was caught on closed circuit television cameras, but when
the police and SCDF officers arrived, no one was found.
Bus bridging services were also activated to ferry passengers
between Yew Tee and Woodlands stations.
Some 3,500 passengers were affected by the incident.
Train services resumed at about 11am.
