It sounds okay, and FINALLY the announcements are FRIENDLIER to
the ears of our non-english educated elders and overseas
friends.
BUT!
They should seriously put a pause between the Clarke Quay Station
and the Please Mind The Gap announcements, or its ridiculous
because it sounds like how come Clarke Quay Station has so many
language translations...
And next station should be in chinese as well, or else this will
just be another half hearted attempt, like the 4 language station
name signs (which cannot be seen on the large fare maps above
ticket machines and overhanging station entrances board).
And if they really want to shorten it slightly, they should just
remove "Station" from "Clarke Quay Station" since its not in the
chinese version.
Overall, nice change, though definitely its far from being great.
