i bet the youth will only be given Probation at most lah. He's only 17 u know? And that's the trend for Singapore Courts now to give probation to youth and even young adults!

esp if the youth offender scored well in studies, or come from popular schools or is popular or good at certain things like sports, the even much higher chances to escape with at most a probation only. standard one la!

maybe they got not enough budget to sustain the RTC and prisons nowadays?
