if the system is without ATP, it needs to run on RM (18km/h
limit, motor stops at 16km/h). otherwise, CM or ATO will apply as
long as ATP is active. when ATP is active, all track sections are
coded with a speed limit and target speed (for next section).
there is a toggle for changing modes between RM, CM and ATO, and
this is changed on-the-fly.
if ATO is on non-raining days, the computer simply drives to the
target speed for as far as possible and cruises, accelerating again
if below target speed, until it reaches the braking point as
calculated by the computer. ATP applies but communicates with the
computer. the TO's role here is to open the doors, close the doors
and press the two black buttons to release the brake and tell the
computer it can move, and the computer will start the power, where
u hear the multiple clicks automatically. each click represents a
different power rating and rate of acceleration. if i'm not wrong,
it represents 4 power ratings P1 to P4.
on raining days, TO's are required to manually drive the train
under CM/ATP mode. the yellow sign and flashing yellow lights at
the stations will inform the TO about this.
